It depends entirely on the client and the type of therapy session that they want. For example, it’s normal to have telephone or online counselling sessions more frequently, say once a week. Whereas face-to-face counselling sessions might be less often, maybe every two weeks or once a month. If they wish, clients can use a mixture of counselling session types. This is a good way to get the benefits of each type if they cannot fit in a weekly face-to-face session. Normally, a weekly session is recommended at first. But the sessions can become less frequent as the couples work through their problems.
Again, it’s different for each relationship. Some people only need a few sessions to resolve their issues. Whereas for some couples who may be married and have a family together, it could take longer. This is because there are other people to consider. Each talking point may have different implications for their family, so can take longer to work through. Normally, I'll complete six sessions with my clients before doing a review. This is when we'll discuss whether they feel the need to continue with the sessions or not.
It’s not essential that both parties are present at every session. If each person has their own issues which are affecting their relationship, then individual sessions can be really useful. But for the most part, it's best if both parties attend every time, as it's the best way for them to work through their issues together. Coming to the sessions together often encourages people to listen to each other in a calm and proactive way. This can have a really positive impact on their everyday interactions with each other.

If you ever just need someone to talk to or listen without judgment, I honestly couldn’t recommend Eli enough. I had my first session with him a year ago, and I was terrified going in — I didn’t know what to expect, and I wasn’t even sure what was going on in my head at the time. I’d also heard some bad experiences from friends who’d been to therapy, so I was unsure. But honestly, he changed my life. He completely shifted how I see things. Every time I left a session, it felt like a weight had been lifted off my shoulders. The small tools and advice he gave me helped in every area of my life — from friendships to how I handle tough moments. I just finished up therapy recently, and I actually told him that whenever I’m faced with a difficult decision, I find myself thinking, “What would Eli say?” — that’s the kind of impact he’s had. He’s a great guy, genuinely helpful, and someone I now recommend to friends, colleagues, or anyone I know who’s struggling with anything.

Working with Sarah has truly changed my life. When I started this journey, I was carrying deep emotional pain years of rejection, loss, and self-doubt. I was stuck in patterns of anxious attachment, low self-worth, and feeling like I wasn’t enough. But through Sarah’s gentle, intuitive, and powerful EFT work, something in me began to shift. She held space for my emotions with so much care and wisdom. I felt seen, heard, and safe — maybe for the first time in years. Our sessions helped me: ✅ Heal the root of emotional rejection ✅ Release old identities that no longer served me ✅ Build a healthier, more loving relationship with myself ✅ Finally feel free from the need to prove or chase love Sarah doesn’t just help you “cope.” She helps you transform. Her understanding, energy, and compassion are rare — and her techniques work fast when you’re ready to go deep. If you’re looking for someone to guide you through deep healing and self-empowerment, I can’t recommend her enough. Thank you, Sarah you’ve helped me find my true self again. Forever grateful, Ali Abdi
